Hexxuss Reptile Rescue is a 501c3 Non-Profit Reptile Rescue that provides rescue and rehoming for reptiles (including a safe retirement home for retired breeders) in the Tampa Bay & surrounding areas.

We are a group of friends who started doing rescue work with bearded dragons several years ago. As we were asked to take in more animals, and different species, we decided to make it official with the State of Florida and Federal government, and become a 501c3.

The reptiles we’ve worked the most with are Bearded Dragons, Iguanas (Iguana, Cyclura & Ctenosaura genuses), and Tegus, but we accept all reptiles that are not prohibited in Florida. We partner with individual people who are experienced rehabbers for species that we are not very familiar with, so the animals can go to the best caretakers.

We have added retirees to this since that is a much overlooked area with reptiles - breeder reptiles that can’t/won’t/shouldn't produce more babies, that the owners don’t want to see go to someone who might attempt future breeding, and kill them in the process. We accept other rehomes as well outside of breeders. Reptiles are our passion.
